Endstation Theatre Company offers hands-on training for the next generation of theatre artists through its apprenticeship program. When we say “hands-on,” we mean it! You will work closely with Endstation’s professional theatre artists, taking on essential responsibilities with set construction, costume construction, lighting and design, box office, and much more. Apprentices are paid a weekly stipend and provided free housing. We will work with your institution to coordinate college credit. 2019 APPRENTICESHIP JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Arts Administration/Box Office
Possible Duties: Assistant direct season production. Assist in the planning and execution of donor and special events, create fundraising appeals and materials, manage donor list and data, create visual materials and videos in support of fundraising campaigns and initiatives. Assist Box Office and House Management with an emphasis on customer service and audience engagement. Assist in the organization of staff and special events. Participate in company wide events as event staff.
Possible duties: Assist the scenic designer with interpreting, planning and executing all paint treatments for the season offerings. Scenic artist interns will aid in the preparation of scenery for paint, mixing of color and glazes, sampling, painting a modification of props and the execution of all scenic techniques. Participate in company wide events as event staff.
Possible Duties: Assist with planning, construction and installation of all scenic elements. Work with TD and set designer to help implement designs. Participate in build, load-ins, and strikes. Scenic interns may also assist in the construction of set props. Participate in company wide events as event staff.
Possible Duties: Work closely with lighting and sound designers to implement designs; attend and participate in all hangs, focuses, and strikes; serve as board op, attend production meetings; shop for lighting equipment, etc. Participate in company wide events as event staff.
Stage Management/Assistant Stage Management
Possible Duties: Serve as an assistant stage manager or serve as a stage manager for shows; prepare reports; attend production and staff meetings. Participate in company wide events as event staff.
Possible Duties: Work closely with costume designer to shop, build, and alter costumes; participate in fittings; serve on wardrobe crew; attend production meetings. Participate in company wide events as event staff.
